Lauter Tun Rake Drive Failure
When the rake rotation motor supports sheared on a brewery's lauter tun, the vessel was down mid-process and production was at a standstill. Nolan Technical Services attended site the same day, stripped out the sheared pins and fabricated temporary pins on site to get production rolling again straight away. With the immediate crisis handled, we diagnosed the root cause: the rakes had dropped, and were reset. New pins were then sourced and manufactured, and a return visit organised to complete the permanent repair, restoring the tun to full reliability.
